Nonprofit Giving

Dear Friend of Downtown,

Louisville is rich with nonprofit organizations dedicated to causes that make us a better city. We are so rich in nonprofits that we have a day of giving solely for the purpose of highlighting these organizations and the work they do.
 
It is no secret we all are fighting for finite dollars in this community, whether it’s corporate, individual, or philanthropic. And in today’s climate, the giving dollars are shrinking due to uncertainty, rising prices, and literally fewer large companies.
 
Louisville Downtown Partnership has its hand out with everyone else this week for the Community Foundation’s Give for Good campaign. We use every dollar and put it on the street… for you to see, touch, and experience. We are looking at literally every corner in Downtown to see where we can add color or lighting or art.
 
This is a fun job and someone has to do it. The not so fun part is asking for money. But again, someone has to do it. We give you many reasons to come Downtown and to support Downtown… and we hope you see the value in giving some of your precious dollars too.
 
Thank you for your support throughout the year, and especially this week, when you have so many other worthy organizations to support as well.

Louisville is rich. And lucky.
