Temporary Closure of I-65 for the I-65 Central Corridor Project
Temporary Closure of I-65 for the I-65 Central Corridor Project
Project to begin Monday, June 1
A five-mile section of I-65 is scheduled to close for two months this summer as part of the I-65 Central Corridor Project that will rehabilitate interstate bridges and pavement in a heavily traveled corridor of I-65. I-65 is scheduled to close between the Watterson Expressway (I-264) and Downtown Louisville (Jefferson St.) beginning June 1. I-65 will reopen on August 1 to two lanes of traffic in each direction.
A two-mile section of southbound I-65 is expected to reopen to two lanes of traffic by July 1, and that will reopen ramps to and from Crittenden Dr. and on-ramps from Eastern Parkway and University Blvd.
How to Get Around During the Closure
