Food Truck Wednesday series returns
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 28, 2025) – Downtown’s popular Food Truck Wednesday series returns to Downtown Louisville on Wednesday, April 30 for its fourth consecutive season. Sponsored by JPMorganChase, the series runs every Wednesday through October, from 11am to 2pm, transforming the 200 block of S. 4th Street between Jefferson and Market streets into a pedestrian-friendly dining destination. The street closure creates a vibrant atmosphere where Downtown employees, visitors, and convention attendees can gather to enjoy live music and diverse food options.
“Activating our public spaces with events like Food Truck Wednesday is essential to creating a vibrant, thriving downtown,” said Rebecca Fleischaker, executive director of Louisville Downtown Partnership (LDP). “These recurring programs not only support local entrepreneurs but also foster the sense of community and energy that makes Downtown Louisville a destination where people want to work, visit, and spend time.”
Each week will feature a rotating selection of food vendors and live music by local and regional musicians. The number of food trucks will vary depending on conventions and other large meetings taking place in Downtown.
“Events like Food Truck Wednesday contribute to the economic vitality of the community, as well as reflect the vibrance of our city,” said Duffy Baker, Kentucky/West Virginia Market Leadership Team Chair and Commercial Banking Market Executive for JPMorganChase. “JPMorganChase is proud to support projects that highlight Louisville’s local businesses and beloved Downtown.”
The weekly event is in collaboration with Louisville Metro’s Department of Licenses, Permits, and Investigations, who support food truck operators with licensing assistance while bringing dining options to the heart of the city.
“By working closely with vendors to streamline licensing and ensure compliance, we create an environment where businesses can thrive and residents can enjoy Downtown with confidence,” said Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Administrator Brad Silveria, Director of the Department of Licenses, Permits, and Investigations. “We’re proud to support initiatives that bring people together, strengthen our local economy, and ensure a safe, welcoming experience for everyone who visits our city.”
