Each year, USA Today searches the nation for the best attractions. From museums and performance spaces to skateparks and water parks, USA today is looking for the greatest places in the country for travelers to visit. The news outlet enlists a panel of “travel experts” and then asks their readers to help them select the best attractions in the nation. Roots 101 African American Museum was voted #10 on this list, and we couldn’t be prouder!

Congratulations to Roots 101 and Lamont Collins, Founder and CEO. Stop by the museum today and share in this excitement with your own personal congratulations.

500 W Renovations

On December 20, 2021 SomeraRoad announced the beginning of construction on transformative building improvements at 500 W Jefferson, where they plan to redefine the Downtown commercial office environment with major upgrades, which are expected to be completed by mid-2022.

This $16 million renovation will modernize both the interior and exterior of the Class-A office tower with a reimagined and relocated lobby, including a coffee shop and a two-story atrium anchored by a custom light fixtures and art pieces.

As part of its renovations, the entire fourth floor is being converted into a marquee tenant amenity floor, with a variety of well-appointed tenant amenities, both indoors and outdoors, including a tenant lounge and cocktail bar, and Louisville’s largest green-scaped rooftop terrace. The fourth floor will also include a state-of-the-art fitness center, a best-in-class conferencing center, with private conference and training rooms and board rooms for groups of varying sizes.

Everyone here at the Louisville Downtown Partnership would like to thank SomeraRoad for their commitment and investment in Downtown Louisville.
