RESURFACED® THE LIBERTY BUILD WEEKEND LINEUP TO FEATURE DODGEBALL AND DJS
(Louisville, KY) – City Collaborative (CC) has announced ReSurfaced® The Liberty Build’s lineup for the first weekend in September. ReSurfaced® The Liberty Build has transformed the formerly vacant lot on the corner of East Liberty and South Shelby Streets (319 S. Shelby Street) into a community activation space that fosters civic engagement and entrepreneurialism.
On Friday, Sept. 1st and Saturday, Sept. 2nd, ReSurfaced® is open from 5 – 11 p.m. and is free. On both Friday and Saturday nights, ReSurfaced® will introduce Dodgeball, a new activity at the Liberty Field. “Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive and Dodge” to the beats of some of the area’s most popular DJs. Friday night Ghouligan will be spinning tunes from 8 – 11 pm, and Saturday night James Lindsey and Vane will provide the DJ set from 8 – 11 pm. The community can bring the crew for some dodgeball action or join in a pick-up game.
The weekend will also feature brews from Mile Wide Beer Company, Coopers’ Craft Straight Bourbon Whiskey, food and other libations from 502 Café, as well as delicious caffeine from Heine Brothers’ Coffee.
City Collaborative is a non-profit, community-based team focused on urban research, outreach, and experimentation that has provided catalytic projects such as the Louisville Love App and the ReSurfaced® initiative. The dynamic team conceives and executes projects which are intended to have large-scale impact and provide a lens into the wonderful people, organizations and initiatives in the community.
