LOUISVILLE DOWNTOWN PARTNERSHIP TO BRING DOWNTOWN SILENT DISCO WITH TRUNK-OR-TREAT TO WATERFRONT PARK
October event invites families and friends to get into costume and dance under the stars
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (October 8, 2026) – Louisville Downtown Partnership (LDP) today announced the return of its Halloween-themed Downtown Silent Disco on Friday, October 30, from 7pm to 9pm at Waterfront Park’s Big Four Lawn. Sponsored by Net Results Group, the free family-friendly event will combine dancing with Halloween costumes and trick-or-treating for guests of all ages.
Through activation of the Downtown CineBus, a mobile projection unit, the event will transform the Big Four Lawn into an outdoor dance floor with added multicolored lighting and visual effects projected onto the base of the Big Four Bridge. Guests are invited to wear their favorite costumes and dance the night away underneath the glow of Louisville’s skyline.
“The Downtown Silent Disco event is the perfect spooky fall activity for our entire community,” said Rebecca Fleischaker, executive director of LDP. “It is a chance for neighbors of all ages to dance, celebrate the fall season, and enjoy Downtown Louisville together.”
In partnership with Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD), the event will include a Trunk-or-Treat experience featuring emergency responder vehicles from several Louisville Metro public safety agencies, I Would Rather Be Reading (IWRBR), and the Transit Authority of River City (TARC). Guests can also enjoy face-painting and food and drink options by local vendors including Downtown’s Beer by Ten20 Craft Brewery.
“The Louisville Metro Police Department is proud to partner with LDP to bring our community together in such a fun and creative way,” said Major Joe Nett, Commander of LMPD’s First Division. “Whether families are coming out for the festivities or joining in on the silent disco, this is about strengthening our community ties and enjoying Downtown Louisville together in a safe, positive, and welcoming environment.”
Produced by Louisville Silent Disco, the silent disco will allow guests to enjoy the music of their choice through three listening stations on wireless headphones with the ability to adjust the channel and volume to their preference. Headphones are free to borrow with a photo ID, and families can exchange one ID for multiple headphones.
“Net Results Group is proud to sponsor the Downtown Silent Disco,” said Managing Partner Lance Gilbert. “This event turns the Louisville skyline into a backdrop for families and neighbors to dance, laugh, and connect. We’re thrilled to support a creative experience that brings our community together and gives people lasting memories.”
The Downtown Silent Disco is free to the public, with accessible parking available at the Silver and Red parking lots at Waterfront Park. To access event photos and graphics, click here. |
