LOUISVILLE DOWNTOWN PARTNERSHIP TEAMS UP WITH TEN20 CRAFT BREWERY TO LAUNCH “DOWNTOWN’S BEER”
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 26, 2024) – Louisville Downtown Partnership (LDP) and Ten20 Craft Brewery announced a new collaboration today, introducing “1834 American Lager” as the co-branded “Downtown’s Beer”.
This special brew will be available at participating Downtown restaurants, bars and venues, as well as events put on throughout the Downtown area. A portion of the proceeds will benefit LDP and will go toward maintaining a clean and beautiful Downtown.
“We love the craft beer community, and wanted to highlight spirits other than the bourbon scene in our Downtown,” said Rebecca Fleischaker, executive director of LDP. “This is an additional fun, and tasty, way to support Downtown and we hope you join us in raising a glass to keeping Downtown clean and beautiful.”
The beer’s new label design offers a slight riff on the original 1834 label to showcase Downtown’s iconic fleur de lis. Special cups also have been produced to match the new co-branded image and will be used to serve the new beer at Downtown events.
“TEN20 is thrilled to partner with LDP and make 1834 Louisville Downtown’s Beer. It is a beer that appeals to all—fresh, crisp, easy-to-drink,” said Jim McGuire, co-owner of Ten20 Craft Brewery. “We love Louisville in a big way and are excited about how this partnership will give folks an opportunity to give back to our city while drinking local. That is something we can all raise a glass to.”
“Downtown’s Beer” will debut at the upcoming Pickleball Street Fest taking place on June 30 on W. Jefferson, between 4th and 5th Streets, and the Plaza on Fourth. The fest will feature Pickleball open play, clinics, tournament games, a local celebrity exhibition, and an artisan marketplace including music, food trucks, cocktails and Ten20 beer.
