LOUISVILLE DOWNTOWN PARTNERSHIP LAUNCHES NEW ‘DOWNTOWN WORK PERKS’ PROGRAM
Monthly Downtown employee appreciation events to run May through October
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 27, 2025) – Louisville Downtown Partnership (LDP) today announced the launch of ‘Downtown Work Perks,’ a new monthly appreciation program for Downtown employees. Kicking off in May and running through October, the event series will take place every fourth Wednesday in conjunction with LDP’s popular Food Truck Wednesday event, providing Downtown workers with a rotating complimentary perk each month.
The inaugural Downtown Work Perks event will debut on Wednesday, May 28. In addition to the regular lineup of food trucks, the first event will feature a fresh produce market by Sunny Acres Farms. The first 50 Downtown employees to arrive will receive a free bag of fresh produce. Live music will be provided by Louisville-based artist Logan Leet.
“Work Perks is a great way to say thanks to our Downtown workforce, and maybe attract some more people to come to the office who might otherwise work remotely,” said Rebecca Fleischaker, executive director of LDP. “As the Downtown community continues to grow, fun perks like this make our city center a desired work environment by fostering workforce camaraderie and contributing to the vibrant street-level vitality that drives Downtown’s economic success.”
Downtown Work Perks will be offered the fourth Wednesday of the month, and will include giveaways such as free produce, gourmet popcorn, coffee, sweet treats, and more.
To receive the monthly perk, Downtown employees must present a valid work badge, business card, or other workplace identification. Each monthly offering will be available to the first 50 employees. While the complimentary perks are reserved for Downtown workers, the produce market and/or additional vendors will remain open for additional purchases by employees, visitors, and local residents.
All Downtown Work Perks events take place during the Food Truck Wednesday series, which activates the 200 block of S. 4th Street each week from 11am to 2pm. The weekly event transforms the area into a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly destination with food trucks, live entertainment, and community engagement.
