Event Description: The Office for Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods continues to prove that they are invested in the growth of small grassroot organizations who are working to prevent violence within our community. Recipients of this years grant will receive optional training in Grant Writing, Interview Skills, Budgeting, Marketing and More!

One of the changes to the application this year includes that applicants must demonstrate their organization was negatively impacted financially by the COVID-19 pandemic. While demonstrating a negative impact from COVID-19 has always been a requirement, we have documented this impact previously through the correlation between the pandemic and increased rates of violence across the country. This year, federal compliance is interpreting this rule differently which requires that organizations demonstrate how fundraising was hindered by the pandemic.

Application Requirements:
– Serve Jefferson County, KY residents, who are at risk of violence
– Have not been a previous recipient of a CBF grant.
– Carry liability insurance
– At least 18 years of age.
– Operating budget of less than 100,000 / year

Each of this year’s chosen organizations will receive $20,000 toward their organization.
