SHOPPING, MUMMIES AND A GIANT PILLOW FIGHT ON SOUTH FOURTH STREET FOR VALENTINE’S WEEKEND
(Louisville, KY) – Celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend on historic South Fourth Street with a special shopping event on Friday, Feb. 12th from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at some of Downtown’s finest, local shops and galleries, followed by a “Here Comes the Mummies” concert at The Mercury Ballroom, and end the weekend with a giant pillow fight on Sunday, Feb. 14th at 3:00 p.m. on South Fourth Street at Chestnut Street.
Louisville’s reinvigorated South Fourth Street continues to draw visitors and locals alike as the splendor of yesteryear is replaced with popular shops like Art Eatables, Craft(s) Gallery, Regalo, Block Party handmade Boutique, Gifthorse, The Mysterious Rack, and Cellar Door Chocolates. South Fourth Street is also home to the Hilton Garden Inn, 8-Up Restaurant and Lounge, Sicilian Pizza, The Mercury Ballroom and Palace Theater.
“Here Come the Mummies” will be performing at The Mercury Ballroom on Friday, Feb. 12th at 8:30 p.m. and Heart for Lungs, a Heart Tribute Show that be raising funds for lung cancer research, will take place on Saturday, Feb. 13th at 9:00 p.m. For more information, go to: www.mercuryballroom.com.
Sunday afternoon’s pillow fight will take place at 3:00 p.m. on South Fourth Street at Chestnut Street. Participants should bring their own pillow and be at least 18 years of age to join the “Fight for Love” pillow fight.
