Sports Park Social is a weekly event hosted in the 600 block of W. Washington St. Every Wednesday and Thursday night, Washington St. will be closed between 6th and 7th Streets, from 5:30pm – 8:00pm, to allow Downtown residents, employees, and guests to enjoy food and drink and watch Pickleball and wiffle ball play. Enjoy Open Play (Pickleball, wiffle ball, and cornhole) on Wednesday nights or watch Pickleball league play on Thursday nights. Each week at Sports Park Social, a local on-site food vendor and local brewer Against the Grain will offer food choices and beer for purchase. The event, which is free and open to the public, is part of an effort to increase the offering of weeknight activities in the Downtown community.
