Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana’s “Over the Edge”

If you’re looking for a big way to change your perspective, challenge yourself and help others going through a cancer journey, Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana (GCK) is giving people of all ages and abilities alike a chance to completely change their view, get the blood pumping, and make a leap of courage (while staying safe!) as they go “Over the Edge” to raise funds for cancer support in Kentuckiana on MAY 13.

Quick facts about the “Over the Edge” event:

• Any age can participate in an Over The Edge event—people in their 80s and 90s rappel. A parent or guardian must sign the legal waiver for anyone under the age of 18.
• Over The Edge’s equipment safety standards require that people must be between 100-300 lbs. in order to safely rappel.
• No experience is necessary! Participants get all the training they need on the actual event day.
• Gilda’s Club staff will provide a fundraising link for registrants, as well as support for you on your fundraising journey. Learn about who to ask, how to ask, and how best to utilize social media.
• This event is FUN! Fourth Street will be closed off between Liberty and Jefferson from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. for the Gilda’s Club “Over The Edge” street party!
