MARCH 19DOWNTOWN ROAD CLOSURES For the The Triple Crown 10K Race

This traffic alert has expired.

The Triple Crown 10K is the 2nd leg of the Louisville Triple Crown of Running series for 2022. The series consists of a 5K, 10K, and 15K race leading up to the Kentucky Derby Festival Miniā€ and Marathon.

Scheduled to start at 8:00 am on Saturday, March 19th, the 10K will start at Brook and East Market Streets in downtown Louisville.Ā  The Triple Crown 10K event will take place within the central business district of Downtown Louisville.Ā Ā The course routes south on Brook Street, west on Chestnut, north on 9th Street, east on Liberty, north on 5th Street, west on Market, north on 7th, and east on Main Street to finish just west of Louisville Slugger Field.

Streets along the route will be fully closed to nonā€participants and vehicular traffic, except Main street between 2nd and 3rd Streets. Barricades and traffic barrels will separate the northbound lane of Main Street to accommodate southbound 2nd Street Bridge traffic being diverted. Traffic will be allowed to cross throughout the course when safe.

Chestnut from 9th to Brook

9th St from Magazine to Liberty (only n/b 9th closed)

Liberty from 9th to 5th

5th from Liberty to Market

Market from 7th to 5th (north lane from 6th to 5th open for thru traffic from 6th)

7th from Congress to Main

Main from Brook to 7th (s/b 2nd St Bridge traffic only can exit Main to 3rd via north lane)
