Louisville, KY (Oct. 4) – Construction fencing surrounds the Kentucky International Convention Center, with interior demolition ongoing and in preparation for building demolition scheduled to begin the week of Oct. 9 with removal of canopies and some outer doors.

Oct. 7-10 – Demolition of pedway across Market Street from Cowger Garage to the convention center.  Market Street between Third and Fourth Streets will close beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7 and will reopen Monday, Oct 10, 6 a.m. Cowger Garage will close at 6 p.m. Friday and reopen at 6 a.m. Monday.

Oct. 14-17 – Demolition of pedway across Jefferson Street from Hyatt Hotel to the convention center. Jefferson Street between Third and Fourth Streets will close beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14 and reopen Monday, Oct .17 at 6 a.m. The Commonwealth Garage will remain open Oct. 14-17 with access from Liberty Street. The Louisville Visitors Center, corner of Fourth and Jefferson, will be closed that weekend.

Third Street is closed to pedestrian traffic and remains open to vehicular traffic only.The convention center will reopen summer 2018 with more than 200,000 square feet of exhibit space, a 40,000 square foot ballroom and the ability to attract up to 25 percent more convention business annually.
