Yelp celebrates Kentucky Derby excitement with special event series
Monday, April 24 — The race itself may only last two minutes, but Louisville more than makes up for that brevity with long-lasting revelry.
To showcase the local excitement, Yelp is putting its own spin on Derby with the third annual Yelp’s Countdown to Derby
, featuring six events over the six days leading up to the big race.
This year’s Countdown includes events not found elsewhere in the city, ranging from free to cheap, for children and adults. Whether you’re in search of great eats, bourbon, food trucks, Derby de-stressing, morning inspiration from a “Food Network Star” finalist, a fun downtown art-filled social or a sneak peak at a brand new Louisville business with an edge, we’ve got Louisville covered.
Who: These events are open to all. Some events are RSVP-only, and to RSVP, guests must have a Yelp profile — It’s free and super fast to set up! — with a real name and real photo. Sign up at yelp.com/signup.
When: Yelp’s Countdown to Derby starts Sunday, April 30, and runs through Friday, May 5.
The events include:
● Sunday, April 30:
Mint Julep 101
