Via Colori is an art festival that takes place on October 21-22, 2018 at Waterfront Park in Louisville, KY.
Via Colori® Kentucky is a festival in which hundreds of artists, community organizations, vendors, and partners come together to host the most creative festival in Kentucky. The festival was in the Elizabethtown area for almost a decade and moved to Louisville in celebration of its ten year anniversary in Kentucky. Approximately 100 artists participate with the intent of making an artistic masterpiece on a large scale, directly on the sidewalks of Waterfront Park in Louisville. We will have music, vendors, art, art vendors, family-friendly activities such as child street painting and superhero photo-ops, additional non-profits in an awareness section, a food court, street performers, costumed characters, an art gallery dedicated to child-created pieces, and of course, street art.
How Via Colori Helps
A portion of the proceeds from the Via Colori Street Painting Festival will be used to create “First Night in Placement” Care Baskets. These will include things such as nightlights, books, toothbrushes, soothing bath bombs and soaps, blankets and age appropriate things for both the kids and parents. In addition, proceeds this year will include launching the creation of a specialized Trauma Informed Caregiving team as a resource to any foster parent in the state. This is vital because foster parents often do not have the resources or support systems that understand trauma. They will be able to utilize these babysitters to promote their well-being and to insure that their foster children are cared for appropriately.Via Colori Kentucky Website
