The Louisville Pure Tap™ 5k race begins and ends at the home of Louisville’s award-winning drinking water, Louisville Water Tower Park, 3005 River Road, following a course that runs east and west on River Road.
Presented by Louisville Water Company, the family-friendly Louisville Pure Tap™ 5k is the first race in the Louisville Sports Commission’s Fall Runathon Series.
Anyone interested in participating can register online until midnight on Sept. 9 by clicking HERE. Or they can register at Louisville Water Tower Park on Friday, Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 11 from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. Entry fee cost is $30. Those already registered may pick up their packets during the same time frame.
Our number one goal is to ensure all of our race participants, staff and volunteers have a safe – and fun- experience. The following safety protocols will be in place for this year’s race:
· Packet pick-up will be conducted as a drive-through so individuals can collect their race packets from inside their cars.
· Participants will be required to wear protective masks or buffs prior to the race, while in the starting queue and after the race.
· Hand washing and sanitizing stations will be available throughout the course and will be placed in key areas such as race start, finish lines and hydration station.
· Post-race food and beverage will include water, Powerade, bananas and granola.
The Louisville Pure Tap™ 5k is the first race of the Louisville Sports Commission Fall Runathon, a series of three fall running races that provides unique courses and quality experiences for runners and walkers. Following the Louisville Pure Tap™ 5k is the Norton Sports Health 10k, set to take place on Oct. 2 in the Parklands of Floyds Fork. The Fall Runathon concludes with the Urban Bourbon Half Marathon presented by Jim Beam® on Oct. 16. To register, or for more information, log on to FallRunathon.com.
